DraftKings is doing everything in their power to not lose their ass on Supercross betting. This is the Wild West for SX gambling. When Joe Rogan talks about having an edge early on during the UFC days, this is exactly what he is talking about.
Odds for Supercross shift faster than Barcia’s Gieco 250 reached the rev limiter. I’m not sure if DraftKings is seeing $1k, $20k, or $100k in wagers for SX, but they are afraid of any money laid on a rider.
Chase Sexton was +350 on DK yesterday to win at Tampa this weekend. Cooper Webb was +250. In less than 24 hours Sexton’s odds went to +300 and Webbs to +400. Now, I find it hard to believe just my $10 shifted odds that much.
To be fair, Sexton’s odds should have never been +350, they shouldn’t be worse than Webb’s, and they should not still be worse than Tomac’s. Sexton is in the points lead and has won 50% of the main events so far this season. I’m not sure if it’s the fan love affair with Tomac, or DK is just missing the boat. As long as Sexton has worse odds than Tomac, he is great value to win any weekend!
